• Clean your dryer lint trap after every use. This improves the dryer's effectiveness and prevents a potential fire hazard.

• Purchase a plunger for quick fixes.

• Report leaks or drips right away to prevent water damage.

• Run water in seldom-used sinks and drains to prevent odors and blockages.

• Use a natural solution such as baking soda or vinegar to prevent clogs in sinks and showers.

• Regularly inspect your light fixtures for any signs of damage or loose connections.

Care for Flooring

• Protect your hardwood floors from wear and tear by using area rugs in high-traffic spaces.

• Clean your carpet every three to four months to prevent wear and tear. Remove your shoes before walking along the high-traffic areas of your carpeted rooms.

Proper Ventilation

• Run the bathroom and kitchen exhaust fans to reduce humidity and prevent mildew buildup.

• When turning on your heater for the first time in winter, you might notice a burning scent. There is nothing to be alarmed about; just open windows and clear out the smell. It will go away after running for a while.
